I'm Medini Chopra, (pronounced: may-the-knee). I'm currently pursuing a Master's in Computer Science at Northwestern University. My interests lie at the intersection of human-computer interaction, natural language processing and information retrieval.
My most recent research work on Deciphering psycho-social effects of Eating Disorder posts has been accepted to the NLP4DH workshop under EMNLP 2024.
My undergraduate thesis looked at encoding lyrics and audio features of a song to improve recommendations and finding the most accurate representation of music in latent space. I'm further building that into a start up @ The Garage, Northwestern, as part of their Propel program for women entrepreneurs.
I'm also a semi-professional Kathak dancer, coffee connoisseur, and plant enthusiast. I spend my weekends exploring the streets of Chicago to find the best food-outlets.
