Hi, I'm Medini (pronounced: may-the-knee), a Research Engineer @ Northwestern Institute on Complex Systems, working with Brian Uzzi and Matt Groh. I'm passionate about designing human-centered AI systems. Some of my recent work includes fine-tuning language models for financial expert alignment, studying how generative models shape user creativity in music creation, and building a tool that summarizes and surfaces hundreds of daily press releases for journalists.

I graduated from Northwestern in December 2025 with a Master's degree in Computer Science. During my time there, I worked under the Human-AI Collaboration Lab and the Design, Technology, Research Lab, interned at Cboe Global Markets' AI Center of Excellence, and helped build Vouchd LLC @ The Garage.

I'm also a semi-professional Kathak dancer, coffee connoisseur, and plant enthusiast.
